The COVID-19 pandemic is creating unique challenges for businesses and individuals around the world. The health safety and well-being of our instructors, students and community are of the utmost importance to York Region Firearms Academy.
Ontario is still currently in the midst of a global pandemic . While the COVID-19 situation is changing daily and we are constantly monitoring the recommendations from the District Health Unit and the Ministry. We will have strict measures in place to protect students and instructors while in the classroom. As of July 13, 2020, students and instructors will be required to wear a face covering in all indoor public spaces (businesses, organizations,and public transit systems) in Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka.
Safety Precautions for the Classroom & Mandatory Requirements:
Students will be required to bring and wear a mask in the classroom
Hand Sanitizer will be used entering the classroom and prior to handling any firearms
Students travelling together will be seated together for the theory and practical portion
Continuous Cleaning will be taking place throughout the class
A screening form must be completed prior to entering the classroom
Students will not be permitted to wear gloves while handling the firearms
If students display any symptoms of being sick or ill, they will not be permitted into the classroom! Students will be asked to book into a future date when they are not showing any symptoms.
We encourage all students to stay home if they are sick or ill. Students will be given the opportunity to book into a future course. No refunds will be provided however you will have the opportunity to re-book as per our cancellation policy.
